Welcome to Nursery

This is the beginning of your child’s learning journey at Avenue Primary Academy. We follow the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage and provide children with the opportunities to learn through a play-based curriculum both in the classroom and outside. Learning is based around individual children’s interests with a main focus on Communication and Language, Physical Development and Personal, Social and Emotional Development. Alongside these areas, children will be supported to gain skills in early mathematics and early literacy.
